Ministry Minute: The Simple Message of the Bible

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Some people view the Bible as complicated, feeling as though it’s a book of rules and restrictions. But the message of the Bible is simple—God is love. The enemy wants to complicate this truth to create a spirit of confusion and division. But he has already been defeated by the simple message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and God’s desire that we enjoy life.

In this Ministry Minute, Gloria Copeland explains the simple message of the Bible and how God wants you to enjoy this life…it really is that simple.

John 10:10 (AMP) says, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].”

As Gloria Copeland says, “If you’re not enjoying life, you’re not doing it right. That’s the bottom line.”

God is for us—not against us. He wants you to enjoy life and have it abundantly. It really is that simple. We have to believe that truth and receive it—accepting nothing less. You may look around and see a world full of people who are broke, sick, and struggling in their relationships. It looks like those struggles are “normal” in life. But God has set you apart in this world to give you victory over those things the devil tries to use against you. You don’t have to accept whatever comes on your neighbor or your co-worker. God wants you to enjoy this life.

So, next time you feel the world is against you—remember that God is for you and he wants you to enjoy life to the fullest. Take a stand against the devil. He’s a thief and a liar and has no business in your affairs. Kick him out and bring the truth back in. Let the Word dominate every situation!
