4 Keys To Supernaturally Eradicating Debt

Debt seems to be a way of life in this world, doesn’t it? Before you know it, it’s all too easy to find yourself buried in a mountain of it with no possibility of it ever getting out of sight. If that sounds familiar and you’re looking for a way to get out of debt, we have good news!

As believers, we have available to us a completely different financial system than what the world offers. We are children of the Most High God and citizens of His kingdom; therefore, we can operate in God’s financial system, where He supplies all of our needs and desires with His wealth (Philippians 4:19). As you can imagine, since God is the very Creator of this world, He has a lot of wealth at His disposal, and He wants to spend it on you.

As you read these 4 Keys To Supernaturally Eradicating Debt, you will gain the spiritual tools to rid yourself of debt and live financially free. No matter how much debt you’re in, God will lead and guide you to become debt free and highly prosperous. You can live on this earth with God as your sole Supplier!

1) Become God-Is-My-Source Minded

“And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” –Philippians 4:19 (AMPC)

Have you ever kicked a bad habit…like eating too much sugar or drinking soda? When you decided to give up that habit, you had to turn your back on it, didn’t you? Well, to live debt-free, you will need to do the same—which will involve buying without borrowing money. No matter how hard it may seem, the first key to supernaturally eradicate debt is to make the quality decision to stop borrowing money and become debt free.

This is what Kenneth and Gloria Copeland decided early in their marriage. They didn’t waver or wait for “the right time.” They made a quality decision to turn their backs on borrowing money. They no longer considered it an option, because debt would no longer be the way they obtained things. From that moment on, they decided to solely depend on God for everything they needed and made Him their sole Supplier. Eleven months later, they were completely out of debt and have continued to live debt free to this day.

You may be thinking, That sounds great, but how did they get out of debt so fast?

They became God-is-our-Source minded (1 Corinthians 8:6). No matter what they needed, from meeting payroll in a growing ministry to purchasing a jet airplane, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland depended on the Lord to supply ALL their needs. He became their only Source, and He still is today.

Since God is no respecter of persons, He’ll do for you what He did for Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. Need a new car? Let the Master Financier fund that for you. What about a new home? He can supply what you need far beyond anything you could ever hope for, but you have to trust in Him (Ephesians 3:20).

Settle in your heart today that God is your Source. Meditate on His Word continually and say repeatedly: “God is my Source.” Let it become so real in your spirit that you no longer think of

your income, your job, your bank account or a loan as your financial supply. God longs to be your one and only Financial Supplier. And as soon as you let Him, your finances will soar.

2) Receive His Power To Be Debt-Free

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” –John 10:10 (AMPC)

When our bills become overwhelming, it can feel like money controls us, instead of us controlling our money. But the truth is, we have the supernatural authority to regain control over our finances and become completely debt free. After all, through Jesus Christ, we have been given dominion over this earth—and that includes our finances, which are under our authority.

You have the power to say, “Enough!” and claim your rights and promises through Jesus Christ. As you operate in faith and keep speaking His promises, you will be able to stand on your quality decision to become debt free. As you apply His power to your debt, you’ll find that a large part of that power is in receiving God’s wisdom on how to move forward. Consider these promises from God’s Word:

• God has a Spirit-led debt-cancellation plan for me (Jeremiah 29:11).
• I receive God’s plan by faith—and I do not doubt (James 1:5-8).
• God’s plan comes out of the realm of the spirit—not the natural (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).
• I have the ability to hear God’s plan (Psalm 85:8).
• I am obedient to God’s plan. Whatever He tells me to do, I will do it (Isaiah 1:19).

As you move in obedience to the Lord, your debt-cancellation plan will be wrapped in God’s wisdom, and will never create unnecessary pressure on you. If pressure starts, press toward peace, and refuse the temptation to become impatient and borrow. You will be surprised how quickly your debts start to diminish when you stay in faith and give your care over to God.

3) Seek First the Kingdom

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God…and all these things shall be added unto you.”- Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

When you need money, it seems rational to follow what the world does: Work more and spend less. Yet the Bible is very clear where everything originates—from the kingdom of God. Therefore, it makes even greater sense, especially while paying off debt, to seek the kingdom of God.

As you may already know, one of the best ways of seeking the Kingdom is not only through prayer, but by sowing and giving into God’s kingdom. Just as tithing protects what you currently own, giving will exponentially grow your finances as the laws of sowing and reaping ensure your own financial harvest (Mark 4:30-32). In the natural, spending more money by tithing doesn’t seem like a workable plan, but with God, you can give your way out of debt. Many people make the huge mistake of discontinuing their tithing and sowing when trying to get out of debt, but not tithing doesn’t work. It may seem logical to our natural minds, but the quickest route to supernatural debt freedom is dependent upon staying in a continual state of sowing and reaping (Proverbs 3:9-10).

As you set out to become debt free, open your spiritual ears to hear where and how much God wants you to sow for your harvest. As Jerry Savelle says, “When you talk to the Lord about your need, He will talk to you about sowing seed.” This is a spiritual law, and a critical step to take if you want to live a debt-free life. His plan is perfect, so tune in and listen to His instructions. Rather than assume what you should do, lean on and rely completely on the Lord. He knows how to get you debt free in the best way possible. He not only wants to bless you far beyond your income in the natural realm, He’s promised in His Word to bless you beyond anything you’ve ever known (Ephesians 3:20). If you stand on the Word and hold fast, you will see His hand bless your financial situation immensely.

4) Enter His Rest

“There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.” –Hebrews 4:9-10 (NKJV)

The moment you made the quality decision to get out of debt, God saw you as debt free. As you’ve built your plan, and followed His wisdom and direction, allow His mighty hand to move on your behalf. This doesn’t mean that you stop making payments and meeting your obligations. No, not at all. It means that you enter His spiritual rest as you cast the care of your debt on the Lord. When a situation arises, the debt becomes overwhelming, or you think you may need to borrow money again, that’s the time to pray and give the situation to the Lord and leave it with Him. It’s the time to enter into His rest.

If you aren’t sure how to do that, pray like this:

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I throw the care, weight, anxiety, worry and concern of that debt load over onto You. I refuse to carry the care of that debt any longer. I refuse to borrow any more money. You are my Supplier, and You are well able to provide whatever I need. According to Hebrews 4:3, 9-11, I enter the rest and peace of God concerning my finances. I believe it, receive it and walk in it. I am free! My days of worry and anxiety, pressure and stressing over finances are over forever! I refuse the pressure and stress—I choose instead to enter Your rest.

Then, leave the care with the Lord and let His love guide the rest of your day. Don’t keep going back over and over it, worrying, and talking about it with your family or friends. Instead, leave it in His loving hands. If worry tries to take over your heart and mind again, speak His financial promises and rejoice in His goodness.

As you follow these 4 Keys To Supernaturally Eradicating Debt, you will be well on your way to living debt free and in a position to bless others. As Pastor George Pearsons has said, “There are streams of income and supernatural manifestations of the glory of God removing debt from our lives.” Receive that word today, and know you are redeemed from the curse of poverty and lack, and are now, in God’s eyes, debt free!

Relief Team: ‘Boots on the Ground’ Following Recent Tornadoes

On Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1, 2023, a batch of ferocious storms and tornadoes broke out across the Midwestern, Southern and Eastern United States. Numerous tornadoes were reported in multiple states, crushing homes, businesses and buildings; as well as causing dozens of injuries and casualties.

The Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Eagle Mountain International Church Relief Team deployed the evening of April 1 to Arkansas to check on Partners and Friends following the large tornado that tore through Little Rock.

The team’s first stop was to help our ministry Partner—Pastor Happy Caldwell at Agape Church in Little Rock. Agape Church, along with the onsite television studio, sustained significant property damage. Our team went to work immediately, cutting trees and removing debris for Sunday’s church service. They also checked for property damage and prepared the sanctuary for new carpet and more.

We are happy to report that they were still able to have church outside!

The Relief Team worked at Agape Church for three days. They also contacted Partners and Friends in the region impacted by these storms, with none reporting damage. Praise God!

Additionally, our Relief Team ministered the gift of salvation to multiple municipal employees they came in contact with, including phone technicians, electricians and water crew. This resulted in 29 salvations!

Please remember to add your supply of faith and pray for everyone impacted in these storms. The KCM Relief Team is made possible by the financial support and prayers of our Partners. So, if you are a Partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries or a member of Eagle Mountain International Church, thank you. Your support through prayer and giving affects lives spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially worldwide!

Take Your Stand for Our Children at School

Take Your Stand

“Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]. Stand therefore [hold your ground].” –Ephesians 6:13-14a (AMPC)

We are living in the last of days, and as the darkness grows darker, we see the light of God getting brighter. All around us, we’re seeing great moves of God happening throughout the world—in colleges, on the streets and even in grocery stores. The Great Awakening is here, and it’s for all ages. Even so, the enemy continues to target the weakest among us, our children. One of the ways we see the enemy attacking our children is through violence in the schools.

Pray for Those Affected

On March 27, 2023, a deadly mass-shooting occurred at Covenant School in Nashville, Tenn., resulting in seven casualties, including the shooter. Our response to this is one of compassion and love. We are sincerely praying for the families affected by this tragedy.

We invite you to pray in agreement with us:

Heavenly Father, we boldly approach Your throne of grace today in the Name of Jesus to obtain mercy and grace to help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We stand together and boldly declare that we desperately need You in our nation, in our lives, and in the lives of our children and grandchildren. We thank You, Lord, that You go before us, You’re with us, and You never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8). You’re always ready to help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We petition you today on behalf of the Covenant School victims’ families, loved ones, first responders and everyone impacted in the school and community;, and we ask for Your help. May everyone involved feel Your comforting presence. We pray for Your unfailing love to surround and fill them (Psalm 33:22). Please strengthen, help and uphold them (Isaiah 41:10). May they find their strength in You, and be strong in You and in Your mighty power during this difficult time. We put a hedge of protection around their thoughts, and pray for them to turn toward You and not away from You. As they call on You in truth, we thank You, Lord, that You will be near to them, and they will hear Your answer (Psalm 145:18, Jeremiah 33:3). Thank You for supplying all their needs during this time from Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). In the Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

You can also spend time praying in the Holy Spirit, as the Spirit Himself intercedes for us when we don’t know what to pray (Romans 8:26).

We Must Take Our Stand

Thank you for adding your supply of faith! While prayer makes tremendous power available to us, we must do more than pray. As faith-filled, blood-bought believers with a covenant with God, we have to resist the enemy to take a stand for our children. We have to push back and say, “No more!” We have to change the atmosphere of strife, criticism, fear and confusion created by this event, with our faith.

How do we do that? By taking our authority that’s found in the Name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus and the Word of God.

Are you ready to take a stand for our children at school? Here are four things you can do right now:

1. Refuse To Fear, and Stand on Psalm 91 Promises of Protection

You don’t have to live in fear! We want to bless you with two FREE resources that will help you “fear not”—no matter what’s happening around you. Click HERE to download No Fear Here by Pastor George Pearsons and Your Promise of Protection: The Power of the 91st Psalm by Gloria Copeland. Please remember to share the link to these minibooks with your family and friends who need to hear this message of faith over fear!

Additionally, here is A Prayer of Protection Against School Shootings.

2. Use Your Authority for Physical Protection

There’s power in the blood of Jesus and in the Name of Jesus! Taking your authority for protection should be done daily. It doesn’t take long—speak a word of protection as you drive, speak Psalm 91 over your family as you head to work or run errands, plead the blood of Jesus over your children first thing in the morning when you wake. As you make it part of your daily routine, it will become second nature to you.

You can take your authority every day by saying something like:

You listen to me, kingdom of darkness: It is written that I am seated at the Father’s right hand far above you (Ephesians 1:18-23), and that I overcome you by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony (Revelation 12:11). So here is the word of my testimony, and here is whom you can’t go near today. I draw the blood around (name your family members), and I plead the blood over myself, too. You stay away from us! Satan, you stay away from the good works I should walk in. You stay away from my children’s school, my ministry, my church, my neighborhood, my home, and every vehicle and building we go into. I draw a bloodline around them. I plead the blood of Jesus and the Name of Jesus over my family!

3. Invoke THE BLESSING on Your Children

In the video above, watch Pastors George and Terri Pearsons at Eagle Mountain International Church, as we invoke THE BLESSING on our children. This service will bless you as you endeavor to lead your children in the ways of the Lord. Participate with your family by following along, laying hands on your children, and praying over them as the pastors lead.

4. Constantly Feed Your Faith

At KCM, we believe, especially in today’s world, you need to know how to stay in faith and apply the Word of God to your life every day. It’s one thing to know what to do, but it’s another thing to know how and when to do it. We invite you to dig deep into the treasures of God’s Word with us, so you can put on the full armor of God, resist the devil, and after having done all…STAND.

  • Watch or attend a KCM event. Kenneth Copeland will be ministering the uncompromised Word of Faith. See a list of upcoming events HERE.
  • Watch VICTORY Channel®, our 24/7 Christian television network. You will find faith-building programs from the world’s most trusted ministers, as well as VICTORY News twice daily, and FlashPoint twice weekly for prophetic commentary about current events—all in a spirit of faith.
  • Visit kcm.org for helpful books and audio teachings from Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and more, as well as videos, articles, devotions and more.

When it comes to taking our stand for our children, we are not helpless or defenseless. It’s not gun control, but demon control! And demon control comes when you exercise your faith in the Word of God and its authority alone.

If you would like someone to stand in agreement with you in prayer, we’re here for you! Call us at 817-852-6000 or click HERE.

3 Keys To Developing Skilled Faith

Have you ever met someone truly skilled at something? It could be a trade, hobby or craft. They are so adept at what they do that its impressive to watch. Maybe you know someone like that. Well, did you know that just as one can develop being highly skilled at a trade, you can develop being highly skilled with your faith? You can!

God has given each of us faith that we can develop (Romans 12:3, New King James Version). You can grow your own skilled faith and put it to work not only in your life, but you can also use it to help others. You can become someone who knows how to stand on the Word, declare and release their faith, and see their prayers working.

As you read these 3 Keys To Developing Skilled Faith, receive what Christ has paid for and refuse to accept anything contrary to what the Word says. Grab hold of these truths and begin to walk in more victory in every area of life!

1) Be Moved Only by the Word of God.

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” – Romans 10:17, NKJV
It’s easy to be moved by what we see, what we feel, and what we experience. It’s a discipline to only be moved by the Word of God. But learning to be moved by the Word is not only possible, it’s valuable when it comes to developing skilled faith.

Study the Word by reading it and meditating it. Listen to messages, and as you do, your faith will develop. You’ll find yourself having more faith in the Word than what you’re experiencing. The Word will begin to take precedence over what you see in the natural realm. As you grow and continue these practices, no matter the size of any challenge that comes your way, you’ll be able to remain steadfast in the Word. Because you will have renewed your mind to what the Word says (Romans 12:1-2), the Word is what you will think and what you will say when challenges come.

Granted, it’s easier said than done, but our goal is to remain unmoved in the face of adversity. Let’s face it, in such times, our emotions can get the best of us, but if we have hidden the Word in our hearts, the Word is what will come to mind and that is what we’ll speak. We’ll speak faith!

When David faced Goliath, the giant looked troubling before hundreds of cowering, fearful soldiers. He appeared so big and strong that not even the king or any of his generals stepped out to face Goliath. The Israeli Army just kept repeating what they saw: a giant who was taunting them night and day, intimidating them. With an entire Israeli Army befuddled in fear, a young boy, David, stepped forward. Full of faith and adept with a sling, he fearlessly faced and defeated Goliath. You see, David wasn’t moved by what he physically saw in Goliath’s size. David was only moved by his spiritual promises in the living God. Instead of speaking confusion, disappointment and fear at a bad report (Goliath), David spoke the promises of God, thus releasing his faith, and he defeated the giant easily (1 Samuel 17).

2) Develop a Spirit of Excellence.

“My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.” – Proverbs 4:20-22

God has called each one of us to develop a spirit of excellence and to operate in it in everything we do. It’s something that should be part of our character. We develop a spirit of excellence by first hiding the Word in our hearts, abiding in it, and then applying it in every area of our lives.
It’s not only a standard of living, but also a description of how we live, work, conduct our affairs, and manage our relationships. It’s going the extra mile and doing the right thing at all costs. It’s living a life of integrity at all times.

Now developing and acting upon a spirit of excellence doesn’t mean we have to be perfect. But it does mean that we have a desire to live a godly life and do things the right way as defined by the Word. It means being Christ-like in all our affairs.

After all, the ministry of Jesus was one of excellence, and one that laid the foundation for success. This is why people who operate in excellence do their job unto the Lord and let Him do the promoting (1 Corinthians 7:17; Psalm 75:6-7). No matter what position God has called you into, He fully intends to lead you into excellence, success, and a life beyond what you could ever imagine on your own, equipping you every step of the way. Your responsibility is to develop a spirit of excellence and walk in it.

3) Do Not Waver.

“But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” – James 1:6-7

When we waver between listening to God and standing on His promises, versus entertaining all the thoughts running through our minds that are contrary to the Word, our loyalty becomes divided. As much as we want to stand on God’s Word and cling to His promises, we’re lending our ear to the devil and what the world is throwing at us. When we speak what we’re hearing that’s contrary to the Word, we give it authority in our lives. And just like it says in the verse above, our choice is simple: We can waver, or we can receive.

God makes it clear that we cannot waver and receive at the same time. Knowing this, Satan has one tactic in mind—to get us to doubt. If he can get us to doubt who we are in Christ Jesus, and how effective we are with the Word, then he can deceive us out of our BLESSINGS. In fact, that’s the only power he has. All other power he has over humanity was stripped by the Son of God. The only way he can steal, kill or destroy is through telling us idle threats and lies.

So, the next time Satan tries to lie to you, start laughing, “Ha, ha, ha! You have no power over me, Satan! It is written that I live by the faith of the Son of God who died for me (Galatians 2:20)!” When you do this, you’re not taunting Satan, you are refusing to believe what he is telling you and answering his lies, out loud, with the Word of God—the ultimate truth. Jesus answered Satan’s threats with the Word when He was confronted in the wilderness, and that’s what we’re to do, too (Matthew 4:1-11).

The next time Satan tries to encircle you with lies, submit your thoughts to the Word, and resist the devil by answering with the Word, speaking it out loud (James 4:7; Romans 12:2). As Kenneth Copeland says, “Your faith is how you access those BLESSINGS and promises. Don’t let the devil steal your faith—what you believe. When it looks like things are going the opposite way, Hold fast. When it looks like you’re going under. Hold fast.”

There’s a story Gloria Copeland tells that illustrates this so well. At a time when helium balloons were used to transport product, one of the large helium balloons became unhinged and started to fly away. Several men jumped up and held onto the rope to try to hold the balloon down, but it still shot up, and most of the men let go. However, there was one man that astonishingly kept holding on, no matter how high the balloon flew up. It was a very long time before they could get the balloon down. Once they got this man back on the ground, they noticed he wasn’t exhausted, shaking or unconscious, he was absolutely fine.

The medical team asked him, “How did you do that?”

And he said, “Well, when I saw what happened, I just took the rope that I was holding on to, and I tied it around myself. And instead of me holding the rope, the rope held onto me.”

This is an illustration of how we hold fast and conquer with the Word of God—by wrapping our minds, our hearts, and our mouths with the Word and allowing it to hold us up through any trouble. If we intently apply the Word like this, then we will overcome wavering between thinking what’s contrary to the Word and believing God’s promises.

Grab hold of these 3 Keys To Develop a Skilled Faith, and you’ll learn how to be moved only by God’s Word no matter what situation you’re facing. As you develop a spirit of excellence and refuse to waver, you’ll walk in total victory and help others along the way!

When Faith Boils Over: by Kenneth Copeland

Have you ever been praying about some persistent need in your life and found yourself wanting to ask The LORD, “Aren’t You ever going to do something about this?”

If so, I want you to pay close attention because I’m going to give you the answer to that question. I’m going to tell you something that will set you free from ever having to ask it again.
God has already done all He’s ever going to do about meeting your needs.

“Oh, no, Brother Copeland! You mean God isn’t going to heal me of this sickness I’ve been battling? You mean He’s not going to provide the money I need to pay these bills?”

That’s not what I said. I said He’s already done it.

When He sent Jesus to the cross and raised Him from the dead, God provided everything you’ll ever need to live a victorious, abundant life. The only thing that remains is for you to receive it.

How?

By doing the same thing you did when you received the new birth. You remember how you did that. You simply heard the gospel, believed that through Jesus salvation had already been provided, and you confessed Him as LORD. You took God at His WORD and got born again by faith.

Faith doesn’t ask God questions, like “When are You going to do something for me?” It says just the opposite. As Romans 10 says:

The righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The WORD is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth The LORD Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation…. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by The WORD of God (verses 6-10, 17, KJV).

This is the way we receive everything Jesus has provided—from healing, to prosperity, to any other aspect of THE BLESSING of God. We hear what The WORD has to say about it; and as we hear The WORD, faith comes. It rises up in our heart until it overflows through the words of our mouth and produces the desired result.

You can see an example of how the process works in Matthew 9. It tells the story about the woman who was healed of the issue of blood. You’ve probably read about her. She was sick for 12 years, spent all her money on doctors, and just kept getting worse.

Then, one day she heard the good news about Jesus. She heard The WORD He was preaching about how He was Anointed by God to heal the sick, and she started meditating on it. She started saying within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole (verse 21, KJV).

The more she said it, the more faith came. Eventually her faith got so strong she got up and acted on it. She pushed her way through the crowd where Jesus was preaching, touched His clothes, and was immediately made whole.

“Yeah, but that woman’s situation was unique,” someone might say. “She was healed because Jesus was standing there.”

No, she wasn’t. She was healed because she had faith in The WORD. Jesus said so Himself. He said to her, “Daughter…thy faith hath made thee whole” (verse 22, KJV).

Your faith will do the same thing. It will enable you to receive from God whatever it takes for you to be whole in any area of your life. You don’t need Jesus to be standing there with you to get it, either. You just need your Bible and some good faith preaching—because that’s how faith comes. It comes by hearing and hearing The WORD of God.

Words Are the Starter Button

As Brother Kenneth E. Hagin used to say, “You can school yourself right into faith by confessing and meditating on the Scriptures.” You can fill your heart so full of The WORD that when you’re faced with a need, the first words that come out of your mouth are words of faith.

That’s important because words are the starter button when it comes to receiving from God. They put spiritual laws in motion and, depending on whether you’re speaking words of faith or words of fear and unbelief, those laws will either work for you or against you.

I remember one particular experience I had with this years ago. It was back when we were first getting started in ministry. We’d just gotten back from preaching out of town for three weeks, and I’d stayed up late just enjoying being at home. When I finally decided to go to bed, I switched off the light and walked through the living room in the dark. I’d forgotten about the big green ottoman that was positioned in my pathway, and I kicked the thing full force.

Talk about pain! I heard a pop and knew instantly I’d broken my toe. Aware of the power of my words at a moment like that, I shouted “Jesus, I praise You! Glory to God! Hallelujah!”

I went on for a while declaring The WORD of God over my toe, and then went to bed. I was able to go to sleep by faith, but the next morning when I woke up the devil was right there waiting for me. As soon as I opened my eyes he said, “You’d better look at that toe! It’s black and blue!”

Given how it was throbbing, I knew that was probably correct, but I refused to look and see. I even kept my eyes closed while I was putting on my socks. I headed into the kitchen where Gloria was fixing breakfast and, of course, the first thing I wanted to say was, “Gloria, my toe is broken and it’s hurting something awful!”
I knew, however, if she agreed with that I’d be in trouble, because spiritual laws were still functioning. So, I just said, “Gloria, I kicked the ottoman in the dark last night, and in the Name of The LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I believe I receive my healing.”

She said, “I agree with that,” and turned around and laid hands on me.

I had an appointment that morning to go see about a little single-engine airplane I was interested in buying for the ministry, so after breakfast I drove to the airport. All the way there, my toe was talking to me about what bad shape it was in. So, I talked back. I told it that by the stripes of Jesus I am healed.
When I arrived at the airport and went into the office, the receptionist noticed I was limping and asked me what happened. “I kicked an ottoman last night and broke my toe,” I told her. “But Jesus said when He was on earth, ‘Whatsoever thing you desire when you pray, believe you receive them, and you shall have them.’ So, I believe my toe is healed.”

She hurried away as quickly as she could, and I went on down to where the plane was parked. It wasn’t very far but I certainly wasn’t going to walk, so I drove, saying to myself the whole time, “Glory to God! I believe I receive my healing. I have a good toe. Amen.”

Why am I telling you all this? Because this is what it looks like to live by faith.
When I stepped out of the car to have a look at the plane, the moment my foot hit the ground I realized all the pain had gone. My healing had manifested, and my toe was perfectly fine.

Keep Turning Up the Heat

This is the reason you need to be constantly meditating in the Scriptures! You want to be spiritually prepared for such situations. Even if you’re too smart to kick an ottoman in the dark and break your toe, you’re going to run into trouble of some kind in this world; and when you do, you want to be ready to respond in faith.

Faith is a connector. It connects you to what God has already provided for you; and it comes by constant, diligent, prayerful study and feeding on God’s WORD.

“But Brother Copeland, I have spent time in The WORD, and so far, faith hasn’t come.”
Yes, it has. You just need to stick with the program. Keep reading your Bible, listening to CDs and watching DVDs of The WORD being preached. Keep meditating on what God says and calling things that be not as though they were. Keep calling yourself well instead of sick, prosperous instead of broke, victorious rather than defeated. As you keep doing that, faith will keep coming. It will keep bubbling up in your spirit, rising higher and higher until it eventually overflows.

Gloria refers to this as the point where “faith boils over.” I like that! It’s a good way to say it because in the natural, there’s no such thing as water that won’t boil. You heat it up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit or 100 degrees Celsius, at sea level, and it’s going to boil every time. It’s predictable because it’s a law, a law of physics.

The same is true about faith. There’s no such thing as faith that doesn’t come. It works by spiritual law. If you keep heating it up with The WORD, it’s going to boil over and you’ll receive whatever you’ve been believing for.

Once you receive it, though, if you’re going to have the spiritual strength to hang on to it, you have to keep feeding your faith. You can’t just go back to spending all your free time watching cop shows and cable news. If you do that, the devil and the contrary evidences of your senses will get the best of you. You’ll lose your grip on The WORD, and God’s provision will slip away from you. Why? Because you’ve starved your faith. You haven’t given it enough to eat, so it can’t keep doing its job.

Spiritual starvation is a serious thing. I saw that for myself through a vision God gave me back in 1967, when Gloria and I were at Oral Roberts University attending a partner meeting with my parents. During the meeting, Brother Roberts was laying hands on people, and after he laid hands on me, I stepped to the side and just watched as people came up for prayer.

All of a sudden, right before my eyes, the physical bodies of the people disappeared. It’s like they became transparent and I could see their spirits on the inside of them. It was a heart-wrenching sight! Their spirits were horribly emaciated. They looked like the pictures you’ve seen of Holocaust victims in concentration camps. They were so malnourished, weak and sickly, they appeared to be almost dead. They had great big heads and frail, shriveled-up spirits.

Weeping with what I later realized was the compassion of God, I said, “LORD, what is this?”

These are My people, He said. Their spirits have been starved. Their heads are full of religious knowledge at the expense of their spirit man.

“Oh, God!” I cried. “Why did You show this to me?”

I’ve called you and anointed you to do something about it, He answered.

I saw right then I had to obey God and fulfill that assignment—and that’s what I’ve been doing ever since. I’ve been teaching people how to develop their faith. I’ve been feeding them The WORD of God and helping them keep it in front of their eyes, in their ears and in their mouths until it fills their spirits to the point of overflow.

Brother Roberts used to talk about the point of overflow as the moment when faith comes to a climax. He used to give the example of the woman with the issue of blood and said that the moment her faith climaxed, she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and—boom!—she received her healing.

How do you know in your own life when that moment has come?

The best way I can answer that is by telling you what my mama told me when I was a youngster and I asked her, “How will I know when I fall in love?”

“You’ll know,” she said.

That’s the way it is with faith. You just keep putting The WORD in your heart and, although for a while nothing may appear to be happening, one day you sense a stirring in your spirit. Like water starting to boil in a pot, little faith bubbles start to erupt, and suddenly you know that you know that you know that what The WORD says is yours.

You can see yourself with it.

You’ve got a grip on it in your spirit.

You’re not wondering anymore if God is ever going to do anything about meeting your need, you’re fully persuaded He’s already done it, and you can declare it with confidence.
“It’s mine! I take it now!” V

4 Ways To Praise Your Way Into Perfect Soundness

Did you know that through Jesus, you can walk in “perfect soundness”? All the time? Mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually? In every way?

The Hebrew word for perfect soundness is tamim, which means “complete, whole and sound.” We see it used in Acts 3:16, after a man was healed at the gate called Beautiful:

“And His name, through faith in His name, [Jesus’ Name] has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all” (Acts 3:16, NKJV).

Perfect soundness doesn’t come from the absence of trouble; it comes from the presence of God.

Are you looking for perfect soundness in your life? Has a recent event upended your world? No matter what you’re facing, there are ways to force the trouble out of your life and restore any situation to perfect soundness—and one way is by praising the Lord. As you read these 4 Ways To Praise Your Way Into Perfect Soundness, you’ll learn how God can remedy and revive you in any situation through the power of praise.

1) Praise God for His Faithfulness to His Word

“No unbelief or distrust made him [Abraham] waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God.” –Romans 4:20 (AMPC)

If you’re currently facing difficulties in your life, maybe in your health, finances or relationships, it can be challenging to find the words to give God praise and show Him gratitude. But it’s praise that can turn your situation around, fast!

Recently, Mark and Trina Hankins joined Kenneth Copeland on the Believer’s Voice of Victory broadcast. Pastor Hankins shared how praise works every time, “and not just in one area—it will work in every area of your life. It is available at every moment to every one of us.”

Even when you feel there isn’t much to praise God for in your life, there’s always much to praise Him for—about Him. You can praise God for His faithfulness to His Word. His Word never fails, no matter what the circumstance (Luke 1:37; 1 Corinthians 1:9). His Word promises us that it will never return void (Isaiah 55:10-11). And He ALWAYS keeps His promises (Joshua 21:45). Meditate on His promises, let them rise up in you, and begin to praise Him for them!

2) Praise God for His Deliverance

“He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” –Psalm 107:20 (NKJV)

When Trina Hankins was diagnosed with a brain tumor a number of years ago, she faced a dire, incurable prognosis. Instead of letting it get the best of her, she and her husband, Mark, started praising God! As they moved forward, no matter what their circumstances became, they praised Him. They praised God morning, noon and night. When the surgeon wanted to operate to try to “save” Trina, they just kept praising God. In fact, Trina says she was so full of heavenly joy that no matter what the doctors told her, it didn’t move her on the inside. When the surgeon operated on Trina, he found something miraculous—the brain tumor had completely vanished!

The medical world didn’t have a cure for Trina’s diagnosis, but God did. Praise was her cure, restoring her to perfect soundness.

3) Laugh at the Devil!

”If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” –Romans 8:11 (ESV)

As you’re praising God, the devil is going to show up. Guaranteed. And he’s going to do exactly what the Bible warns us that he came to do—steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). He can’t do anything else because that’s his nature. He’s so angry that believers have received all the benefits of the Kingdom through Jesus, that he’ll tell you just about anything to distract you from giving praise to God. He will tell you all the reasons you’re not going to get what you need from God. He will do whatever he can to convince you to shut your mouth, to stop you from praising the Lord and promoting God’s Word.

When you’re faced with such challenges, laugh at the devil and keep praising the Lord. When you do this, you’re not mocking the devil; you’re laughing in the face of fear and doubt. You’re refusing to take his empty threats seriously. And by continuing to praise the Lord, you are confirming the healing and abundant life that Jesus paid for on the cross. Whatever you need is already yours; all you need to do is hold onto it through praise.

When Kenneth E. Hagin was healed of a terminal heart condition, that’s just what he had to do. After he was healed, the symptoms tried to come back. He knew he was healed, so he decided to laugh at the devil’s attempts to get him to retreat from his stand of faith. Brother Hagin had to force himself to laugh, because he didn’t feel like it. So he just laid there in the bed and said, “Ha-ha.”

The devil said, “This time you’re not going to get your healing.”

Brother Hagin replied, “That’s why I’m laughing. I don’t have to get it. Jesus got it for me 2,000 years ago.”

The devil came back again and said the same thing. And Brother Hagin just kept on laughing and saying, “It’s mine. I have it now.”

This went on for 45 minutes until Brother Hagin fell asleep. When he woke up, every symptom had gone and never came back. Brother Hagin understood that by laughing at the devil and at fear and sickness, he wasn’t fighting to try to get a victory, he was fighting from a position of victory.

Whatever challenges you are facing, laugh at the devil. “Ha-ha-ha!” Then say, “Devil, that’s not going to work in my life. Jesus already paid the price for me. I’m now rejoicing in God’s goodness, rejoicing in His mercy, and rejoicing that I have every promise through Christ Jesus. So I’m going to laugh and rejoice! Praise God!”

4) Praise God for Breakthrough

“You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.” –1 Peter 1:8

Have you ever seen someone full of joy? It seems as if it’s impossible for them to frown, doesn’t it, because they are always boisterously praising God. You’d think they’d never had a problem a day in their life! You see, just as the scripture above states, when you believe, you rejoice. And rejoicing isn’t silent; it is showing great joy and vocally praising God.

That doesn’t mean you whisper the Name of Jesus or throw up one or two “hallelujahs” and call it a day. No way! People who are full of joy understand that God is their strength, and they hold onto Him tightly, rejoicing in Him continuously. As we rejoice in the Lord, we invite God to dwell with us—and that is what chases all trouble away (Nehemiah 8:10; Psalm 22:3).

No matter what your challenge is, don’t cringe before it or become intimidated by it. Move over into a spirit of praise and give confident thanks to God until you break through.

Remember, in the book of Acts, Paul and Silas were praising God loudly. They were in prison; their backs were bleeding; they were in pain; their hands and feet were bound. It looked like the devil had won a victory. But he made one mistake. Can you imagine Paul saying to the devil, “You’ve got my hands and feet bound, but you should’ve taped my mouth shut—because if I can move my mouth, I can move a mountain. If I can move my mouth, I have authority!”

Their praises went through that prison and up to heaven. Then the power of God came down and set them and everyone around them FREE. If you’ll dare to lift your voice in praise, not only will it set you free, but it will also set those around you free.

As you’ve read these 4 Ways To Praise Your Way Into Perfect Soundness, you can now use praise to free yourself and others around you to take victory over finances, health, relationships and anything else you need. While you’re singing, shouting and praising the Lord, God will take care of you. He will give you perfect soundness!
