The Four Walls of Protection

The Four Walls of Protection

There is a place where you are untouchable from any kind of attack.

There is a place where everything is going to be all right no matter what is going on in the world around you. God has revealed to us, in His Word, the way to stay in that “untouchable place.” We need these specific instructions for walking in victory more than ever these days.

Kenneth Copeland delivered a word from the Lord at the 2010 Southwest Believers’ Convention that began this way, The world is in serious trouble. But for the household of faith, everything is going to be all right.

In spite of all the “breaking news,” those of us who live in the household of faith are going to be all right. The devil can’t touch us.

No matter what happens or what is going on, we are the untouchables. We have God’s covenant of protection, and the devil cannot touch us when we are safely behind the following four walls of protection:

1. The Word

“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” –John 17:17 (NIV)

God’s Word is referred to as our protection throughout Scripture. Psalm 91:4 (KJV) says His truth is our “shield and buckler.” The shield protects from in front and the buckler protects behind. The Hebrew translation of this verse says He is our “circle of protection.”

When we stand on God’s Word, we become rooted and grounded in something that is unshakable and unmovable. We are surrounding ourselves with God’s impenetrable shield. As long as we stand on the Word, stay out of fear, walk by faith and exercise our authority, we will remain completely protected in the household of faith.

Of the protection found in the Word, Gloria Copeland says, “If you’re in fear, it’s not the secret place. If you’re having trouble with fear, go back to scripture until you get rid of fear.”

When we stay in the Word of God, we keep the wall of the Word up and protecting us. It separates us from the evil the world is subject to. That’s when we are in the world, but not of it.

To keep your wall up and standing strong, read the Word, meditate on it, and let it become so real on the inside of you that when pressure comes, the only thing that comes out is the Word.

2. The Blood

“When I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you.” –Exodus 12:13 (NIV)

As Christians, we know about the blood, sing hymns about it and remember it during Communion. But how many of us truly know how deep its power runs, and all that it has provided for us? Even more importantly—how many of us use it and apply it in our lives every day?

The blood of Jesus is one of the four walls of protection God has given us. From Genesis to Revelation, the words the blood are kept before our eyes—a reminder of its importance and significance to God and to us. The blood symbolizes cleansing and purification—the settling of a matter.

God is Love. And the greatest expression of His love toward us is the blood of Jesus. That love covers every need man has had or ever will have, and every time we apply the blood, we experience an outpouring of this love. It is love, through the blood, that has created a barrier—a wall—between you and all the works of the devil (Revelation 12:11).

To live behind the protection of this wall, we have to elevate the blood of Jesus to the same place in our hearts that it has in God’s heart—and awaken in our spirits those powerful things the blood has procured for us. The power of the blood of Jesus has provided everything you need to live a life of victory.

When we apply the blood of Jesus to the doorposts of our lives in faith, we access the power to defeat every part of the curse that tries to take up residence. When you speak the Name of Jesus in the face of sickness, disease or danger, the blood of the Lamb is behind it, and you are protected!

Learn How to Plead the Blood of Jesus HERE.

3. The Angels

“He will give his angels charge over you.” –Psalm 91:11 (NKJV)

It’s not an exaggeration to say that every one of us, or someone we know, is facing some kind of problem today—some kind of trouble we can’t escape without God’s help.

For one person, that trouble may be a disease that medical science can’t cure. For another, it may be financial problems or a family crisis. But no matter what kind of wall the devil has backed you up against, you can count on one thing: God has promised to deliver you.

One way He does this is by giving His angels charge over you. He charges them to protect you…to keep you…to minister to you…to deliver you. It’s one of the four walls of protection God has given you. But you are responsible for keeping the wall up!

Angels are at your service—to carry out God’s will—to protect you from danger and harm (Hebrews 1:14). When you plead the blood of Jesus over yourself, your vehicles, your home—you’re employing angels. When you declare Psalm 91 over your life—you’re employing angels. When you speak out, “Angels are protecting me. I send forth ministering angels to protect me and my family”—you’re employing angels.

4. The Name

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous run to it and are safe.” –Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV)

The Name of Jesus is your supernatural protection, your emergency number and your rescue vehicle, all wrapped up in one. It responds immediately, acts perfectly, and gets the job done without delay or hiccup. It should always be your first line of defense and will help you when there seems to be no way out. And it is one of the four walls of protection God has given you for a fully constructed spiritual fortress.

That is what happened to a Christian man who was on a 747 airplane that crashed into another commercial airliner, killing most of the passengers. Both planes went down and were on fire. All the exits were blocked or engulfed in flames, and he was trapped inside. In his moment of impossibility—he did what he knew to do—he called on the Name of Jesus.

Now, before he had left on this trip, he had prayed over his travel and believed God for safety. He put his faith stake in the ground before he even left. And now, as he called on the Name of Jesus, the next thing he knew, he was out on the wing. He didn’t use an exit—he was just translated out. He was just suddenly out of danger without any natural explanation.

That’s the power of the Name of Jesus—one of the four walls of protection given to you by God for your use!

A Greater Purpose

Though God’s protection is an amazing blessing to us individually, we aren’t protected just to be protected. First Peter 1:9 reveals that the goal of our faith is the salvation of souls. The Body of Christ has an important end-time mission to the people who will experience the ravages of the world’s evil.

That’s why, when trouble comes, we don’t just “head to the hills and hide out in the household of faith” until the storm passes over. We walk right into the midst of trouble, being totally insulated by our circle of protection. Our mission is to rescue those who are caught in the devil’s reign of terror and pull them into the household of faith. We are protected, so we can get people to the place in their lives where everything is going to be all right.

The Word, the blood, the angels and the Name—when you build these four walls of protection around your life, you are covered on every side! No person would build a house with only one, two or even three walls. You have to have all four to make it work. The same is true in the spirit realm. It’s time to live with the full protection of God!

Should Christians Celebrate Halloween?

Should Christians Celebrate Halloween

5 Reasons To Steer Clear

For some reason, whether Christians should participate in Halloween has been quite the subject of debate. Some believe it’s just harmless fun and don’t want to feel left out of the festivities. Others recognize the spiritual implications behind the day and warn against its dangers. Ultimately, as Christians, every decision we make should be done through the lens of the Bible, not the opinions of man. At KCM, we believe the Bible is clear on the matter of Halloween. We’re providing answers to the question, Should Christians Celebrate Halloween? with these five reasons to steer clear.

1. Halloween Is Rooted in Fear

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” –2 Timothy1:7 (NKJV)

Fear is front and center at Halloween. Haunted houses, horror movies and scary costumes abound. Decorations are focused on death and ideas that instill fear, especially in young children. Some people see this as harmless fun, but God’s Word says otherwise.

The Bible tells us repeatedly to fear not. That’s because fear involves torment and opens the door to the devil in our lives (1 John 4:18). Fear is the opposite of faith. It’s an opposing force, and it outright opposes God. Fear is not fun, and it should not be tolerated in the life of a believer.

When we entertain a spirit of fear—on any level—we are engaging with and giving audience to the devil, and that is dangerous. You may not necessarily see the fruit of it on the night of Halloween, but when you participate in Halloween, you plant a seed in your heart that gives Satan place to take ground in your life. You don’t want that!

This doesn’t mean you have to turn off your light and shut your door to the world. In fact, KCM’s pastor of evangelism, Riley Stephenson, has some tips for how you can reach out with light in the darkness during Halloween HERE.

Watch Kenneth and Gloria Copeland teach you why fear is not OK!

2. Halloween Is a Wiccan Holiday

“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness.” –Ephesians 5:11 (ESV)

Halloween is considered a high holy day in satanic ranks. Christians should have no part in anything celebrated by those who operate in the deepest realms of darkness.

So serious is even the slightest engagement with evil that when Paul had taught the truth to the Ephesians, “those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all” (Acts 19:19, ESV). They knew any type of engagement with evil would become a snare, and they wanted nothing more to do with it!

That’s how we need to look at things like Halloween, astrology, mediums, psychics or movies filled with the spirit of fear. Additionally, witchcraft is detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-13). All of these things are dangerous, and no temporary entertainment is worth compromising our faith and opening any part of our lives to the work of the devil. He is the one we are wrestling with every day in our health, finances and family. To join hands with him, even for a moment, is operating outside of wisdom (Ephesians 6:12).

3. Halloween Doesn’t Honor God

“Do all to the glory of God.” –1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV)

As witnesses to the world of who Jesus is and what He’s done for us, everything we say and do should bring glory and honor to God the Father. If it doesn’t, we should ask ourselves if it is really something we should be doing. Dressing up like a goblin, playing dark music and celebrating the devil’s day does not bring glory to God.

Colossians 1:10 (ESV) tells us “to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

Halloween has never been a day to honor God. That’s enough reason alone to steer clear.

4. Halloween Magnifies Death and Darkness

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light and light for darkness.” –Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV)

The Bible makes it simple—light and darkness do not mix. Halloween magnifies death and darkness. Tombstones, zombies, witches, skeletons and the like are not of God, and they are not life. We are called to choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19) and to magnify the things of God, which Philippians 4:8 tells us are true, noble, lovely, excellent, praiseworthy, pure and admirable.

The activities surrounding Halloween have occultic roots that have nothing to do with light, life and the nature of God. They are contrary to Him. When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, we are also committing to renounce Satan and his practices.

5. Halloween Joins You With the World

“Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?” –2 Corinthians 6:14

Christians will always look different from the world—in a good way! That’s because God has called us to be set apart. Some people want everyone to like them, to always fit in and feel included. The problem with that is found in James 4:4, which says, “If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.”

Many times, our difference from the world will cause others to persecute us. It comes with the territory (2 Timothy 3:12). But beyond that, it serves as a light shining in the darkness. Those same people who persecute you will turn to you first in a time of crisis because they know you have something they don’t—something they need (John 8:12).

We are called to be set apart (2 Corinthians 6:17) and choose who we will serve (Joshua 24:15). It is an honor to be “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9, ESV)

Celebrating Festivals of Harvest

“Second, celebrate the Festival of Harvest, when you bring me the first crops of your harvest. Finally, celebrate the Festival of the Final Harvest at the end of the harvest season, when you have harvested all the crops from your fields.” –Exodus 23:16

While the Bible doesn’t support the celebration of fear and darkness, it has much to say about celebrating the harvest. That’s why many churches choose to hold Fall Festivals in place of Halloween activities. This is a great time to get away from the darkness to fellowship with believers and even make new friends. Kids often dress up in non-scary costumes and treats are handed out. This is a great way to reach your community and point people to Jesus! Finally, our job is not criticize or condemn others who may not understand the dark roots of Halloween. If you see someone at your Fall festival dressed as a ghost or goblin, that’s your queue to show them the love of God.

We hope this information has helped you look at Halloween from a biblical perspective and make a positive choice moving forward. Even if you have celebrated Halloween in the past, don’t feel guilty! The purpose of this information is not to make you feel condemned or ashamed, but to help you steer clear of the things that will hinder you from living the most victorious life possible. Make a decision to renounce the activities and celebration of Halloween and declare, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”

6 Questions To Ask When You Can’t Hear God

Questions to Ask When You Can't Hear God

If you have a problem, God has the answer.

If you’re without something you desire, God is waiting to tell you what to do to receive it. Maybe that’s where you are right now—needing to hear from God about something but going day after day without the word you need from Him.

One thing you need to know is this: God has not gone silent on you. When you aren’t hearing from God, something is blocking the way, and clearing the path is critical. As Gloria Copeland says, “The answer to living a life of victory is hearing from God and doing what you’re told to do.”

There’s no reason to go year after year, or even month after month, without hearing from God on a particular matter. If you’ve been stuck in the same place, it’s time to consider these 6 Questions To Ask When You Can’t Hear God.

1. Do I Believe I’ll Hear from God?

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” –Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)

You may be praying and hoping to hear from God, but if you don’t really and truly believe you’ll hear from Him, you won’t. Perhaps you’ve convinced yourself that He has nothing to say or that He’s somehow holding out on you. He isn’t! But He does have a still, small voice. He isn’t going to chase you down. The key to hearing from Him is to spend time with Him in prayer and in His Word.

2. Am I Relying On Others To Hear for Me?

“God does not show favoritism.” –Acts 10:34 (NIV)

It’s easy to want to hear a word from the Lord through a prophet or a minister, but God didn’t make you to be dependent on someone else’s faith. A pastor, minister or prophet can build you up, but he’s not God. Don’t depend on someone hearing from God for you. Build your life in a way that you hear from Him on your own. God is no respecter of persons. He’ll speak to you as much as He’ll speak to anyone else.

Watch Kenneth Copeland talk about activating your ability to hear God.

3. Am I Walking In Love and Forgiveness?

“If I have faith that can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.” –1 Corinthians 13:2 (NIV)

If you’re the kind of person known for snapping at people or speaking harshly, hearing from God is going to be more challenging for you. Likewise, if you have a critical spirit or spend time pointing out the flaws of others to make yourself feel superior, your times of hearing from Him will be fewer and farther between.

That’s because a person who is prideful, self-centered or holding a grudge has a hardened heart. It is a soft and tender heart that hears from God. So, if you’re coming to Him with a grievance and carrying on in prayer about how you’ve been done wrong, He’s just going to wait. Wait for what? For you to obey what He’s already told you, which is found in John 13:34 and Mark 11:25. In short, love and forgive.

There is no justification for treating people disrespectfully or refusing to forgive. The Bible is clear—your faith means nothing if you do not know how to love others. If you haven’t heard from God in a certain area, ask yourself, “Am I walking in love and forgiveness?” If not, make a change! And ask God to help you. He’ll help you soften your heart and clear the line of communication to hear from Him.

4. Am I Casting My Cares On Him?

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” –1 Peter 5:7

As long as you’re holding on to the care of a situation, it’s going to be very difficult for you to hear from God. If you have already made a decision (or are afraid of making a wrong one), there is no room for Him to speak.

So, ask yourself, “Am I casting my cares on Him?” And be honest in your answer. Some people have a hard time not being in control of everything all the time. This will be your greatest enemy.

One way to cast your cares on Him is to clear away the flesh by going on a fast. Set aside 24 hours, or another amount of time, to fast and only pray and listen regarding your situation. Don’t let anything else cloud your thinking during that time. Get to a place where there is nothing between you and the Father. Rebuke fear in your life, and actively resist the devil.

Another way is to pray in the spirit. As you turn over your prayers to the Holy Spirit, He will pray the perfect prayer on your behalf. Take the time to listen when you pray in the spirit. Ask for the interpretation. It draws you closer to God’s presence, and He doesn’t seem so far off. The magnitude of His goodness and holiness becomes more real, and you clear the way to hear Him.

5. Have I Neglected To Obey?

“Blessed…are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” –Luke 11:28 (NIV)

What is the last thing God told you to do concerning your situation?

If something is missing in your life, there will be instruction and correction. Most of the time, there will be multiples of each. Some people don’t like to hear the correction. They don’t want to believe there’s an area they need to fix. But it’s for your own blessing to obey God’s instruction or make His correction.

If you haven’t heard from God, consider that He may be waiting for you to respond to the last thing He said. Maybe you haven’t even acknowledged an answer He sent you through another person, and you’re still sitting and waiting.

Find out How to Find the Answer to Any Question HERE.

Obedience means we do what He tells us, even when we don’t understand it. We want some big assignment from God, but we don’t want to hear the little things He asks us to do. It doesn’t work that way. If Peter would have obeyed Jesus in the small things—“watch and pray”—maybe he wouldn’t have denied Jesus in the bigger moment. He would have been able to overcome the temptation.

That’s how important it is that when you hear from God, you obey what He says.

You can’t afford to procrastinate. Just do it. Don’t try to figure it out. Just take the next step.

Of this Gloria Copeland says, “Ken and I have always found this is true in our lives. We are always able to take the next step. We might not see the whole thing through right now, but we can take the next step, and then we can take the next step. Pretty soon, you’re in the perfect will of God for your lives, hallelujah. We can’t let natural thinking hold us back.”

6. Am I Really Open to Hearing?

“He who has an ear, let him hear.” –Revelation 3:22 (NKJV)

Sometimes people pray about a matter and think they want to hear from God, but they’re really shut down inwardly because they’re afraid of what God might say. They don’t want to hear that they need to make a correction. They don’t want to hear a certain instruction. They’ve already made up their mind what they should or shouldn’t do. Or they fear making the wrong decision. So, they shut down and aren’t open to hearing from Him.

Gloria Copeland says, “A lot of people want to hear from God, but they don’t want to hear from Him when He corrects them. You’re not going to get directions and not corrections. That won’t work.”

Be open to hearing things you may not think you want to hear. But keep in mind—every correction or instruction brings you one step closer to that victory you want! So why fight it?

We hope these questions have helped you uncover why you haven’t been hearing from God. That thing you need an answer to? That desire you so long to see fulfilled? He has the next step ready and waiting for you. It’s time you heard it!

Watch Kenneth Copeland share the importance of hearing God with your heart.

How To Know the Answer to Any Question

How To Know the Answer To Any Question

Which job should you take?

Should you buy this car or that truck?

Should you move?

Is it time to open your business?

Should you move into full-time ministry?

Is it time to step away from something?

All of us face decisions on a regular basis—some big, some small. But we all want to make the right decisions! And we can.

However, we must guard against trying to find the answers we need through natural means. This often leads to overthinking, which comes from fear—fear of making a wrong decision. That’s why some decisions seem to torment people—fear is tormentor. But 1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) tells us that “God is not the author of confusion.” God has given us everything we need to make decisions with confidence. Here, we’re sharing how to know the answer to any question.

1. Seek the Wisdom of God

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” –Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

Some people say a prayer about their situation and then immediately jump on the internet looking for natural, logical answers to their question or problem. They allow fear of making a wrong decision get in the way of receiving the wisdom of God. This may seem obvious, but when you put yourself into a position where the wisdom of the world is competing with the wisdom of God, you’ll end up in a state of confusion.

There are several ways to seek the wisdom of God. One is praying in the spirit, which is God’s way of getting inside information to you. It is an important tool you can use to pray out mysteries and receive divine revelation.

Another is reading the Word of God and expecting the Holy Spirit to illuminate scripture relative to your situation. Finally, Proverbs 15:22 (NIV) says, “Plans fail for lack of counsel” and Proverbs 20:18 (NCB) says, “Plans will succeed when good advice is accepted.” God can and will speak through others. It is wise to seek counsel from those who operate in faith and wisdom, and who are not intimately connected with the decision you need to make.

Find 10 Scriptures About Making Decisions HERE.

2. Take Time To Fast

“Then [when you have fasted] your light will break out like the dawn, and you will be healed quickly.” –Isaiah 58:8 (CEB)

Fasting subdues your flesh and clears away the natural thoughts and fears that can cloud your judgment. It opens your spiritual ears to receive. When you fast, expect to hear from God—expect revelation from Him. As you do this, remember that fasting is laying things aside just to be with God.

Find a 6-Step Checklist for Fasting HERE.

3. Seek in the Right Places

“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”—Jeremiah 29:13

Sometimes, Christians expect an answer to come a certain way—so they wait and wait. They want the exact words to drop down into their spirits, like it did the last time, or a door to open in just the same way. But God doesn’t deal with us the same way over and over. That’s why it is so important that we are tuned in to His still, small voice and quick to yield to the inward witness.

Bill Johnson once described the way God deals with us in an easily relatable illustration. He recalled how, when it came to Easter-egg hunts, when his children were young, he would hide the eggs in very obvious places—right out in the open so they could find them. But as they got older, he made it much more challenging. He met them at their level of maturity and capability. He expected more.

If you’re a mature believer and you’re looking for the answer to your question in the open, you’re missing it. You’ve outgrown the easy answers. Your seeking may need to mature, and the answers may not come as expected, but God isn’t hiding anything from you. You just need to learn to seek in the right places.

Watch Kenneth Copeland teach you how to let God guide you every day.

Our limited thinking when seeking an answer from God can also be likened to the story of the man trapped on a roof during a flood. He had prayed and asked God to rescue him. Soon, a rowboat came by and offered him a ride. But he said, “No, I’m waiting for God to save me.” Then, the Coast Guard came and offered to rescue him. Again, he said, “No, God will save me.” Finally, a helicopter came and lowered a rope to bring him to safety, and again, he declined as he waited for God to show up with his answer. As the story goes, the floodwaters overtook him, and he met God in heaven where he asked, “God, why didn’t You save me?” And God said, “I sent you a rowboat, a rescue boat and a helicopter.”

Don’t be so convinced about how God will send the answer that you miss it altogether.

4. Listen To Your Inward Witness

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” –Romans 8:14 (KJV)

Your inward witness is one of the most powerful tools you have to find the answer to any question. If you spend regular time in the Word and in prayer, you will hear from God regarding your situation when you are intentional about listening. That’s why Kenneth E. Hagin said, “The No. 1 way that God guides and directs His children is through the inward witness.”

The inward witness is what gives you peace in your spirit regarding your decision. It will pull you in one direction or another according to the leading of the Holy Spirit. And it will sometimes go against what you thought, with your natural mind, the answer would be—which is why listening is so important!

This is a truth that a man from Texas knew well. Though he had only a fifth grade education and had come from a life of poverty, his ability to listen to the inward witness led him to become a multimillionaire through investments.

Here is how he described the process of seeking God for the answer to any question:

“When someone comes along with an idea for an investment, I don’t allow myself to think about it mentally. Instead, I go into my closet and pray. I wait as long as it takes until I hear something. Sometimes, it can take as long as three days. I come out for some meals and a little sleep, but mainly, I remain quiet and alone with the Lord until I know by an inward witness what I am to do.”

Wondering if you’re really hearing from God? Find out the 4 Ways To Know if You’re Hearing God’s Voice HERE.

God wants us to be led by His Spirit and know the answer to any question. And, as Kenneth Hagin said, “God has a better way than a hit-and-miss system.”

When you learn how to know the answer to any question, you will never fear making the wrong decision again! Whatever answer you need today, God is waiting to get the answer to you. There is an answer for every situation—now go find it!

3 Reasons Why Your Confessions Aren’t Working

3 Reasons Why Your Confessions Aren't Working

She had just been hit over the head and mugged on the street. Now she was on the other end of the line with Kenneth Hagin Ministries, sobbing.

“How could this happen to me?” she asked. “I confess Psalm 91 protection over myself every day!”

Maybe you’ve felt the same. You’ve confessed a scripture and then seen the opposite results and wondered why.

The man on the other end of the line was a young Keith Moore. He didn’t immediately have the answer to her question until he heard the Holy Spirit quicken it to him. The Holy Spirit told Keith to ask her why she had been where she was that day.

“Well, I was just running some errands in that part of town. I did have a check in my spirit about going there that day,” she recalled.

There it was. Her confession hadn’t worked because it was based on what the Bible calls feigned faith—presumption. The idea that you can ignore the Word of God to you and just confess scriptures over yourself is a grave misstep.

This woman was standing on a scripture while ignoring the warning God gave her. It looked like faith; it sounded like faith. She was even quoting scripture. But He checked her about going. and she wound up with a confession that didn’t come to pass because she was out of alignment.

At the 2021 Southwest Believers’ Convention, Keith Moore shared an anointed word over several days about the reasons Christians aren’t receiving what they’re confessing and how we can turn it around. He began his teaching with this:

“There have been too many situations in our camp where people confessed things that didn’t come to pass. Claiming things and they didn’t happen. And it hurts your faith. When you confess, confess, confess and it doesn’t happen; and then you do it again and again and nothing happens; eventually, you stop expecting. It can leave you bitter and affect those around you.”

If you’re ready to see EVERY confession you make come to pass, begin today by studying these 3 Reasons Why Your Confessions Aren’t Working.

1. You Aren’t Hearing With Your Heart

“Faith comes by hearing.”—Romans 10:17 (NIV)

Your confessions will only work if they are founded on the Word of God and rooted in faith. Where does real faith come from? (Find out if your faith is real HERE.)

Romans 10:17 (NKJV) tells us: “Faith comes by hearing.”

But here’s where most Christians get turned around. The hearing referred to in this verse is much more than having sound waves bounce off your eardrums or just having read the Bible. The kind of hearing that brings faith is the same kind of hearing Jesus was referring to in Matthew 11:15 when He said, “He who has ears, let him hear” (TLV).

We all have physical ears, so what did Jesus mean?

He was talking about the state of one’s heart. In the spirit realm, you hear with your heart. The condition of your heart affects your ability to hear. If you are bitter or unforgiving, or think you have it all figured out, you’re not hearing with your heart and you’re going to miss what God has to say to you.

When you’re closed off to the idea that you might be wrong about some things, you’re going to have trouble hearing from God—whether it be through His Word or through others. An unwilling heart makes a deaf spiritual ear, which causes your confessions to be led by the flesh, not by the spirit.

A willing heart, on the other hand, makes a hearing ear. But that’s only the beginning. You need God’s Anointing to hear a rhema word with your heart and then line up your confessions accordingly. A rhema is a spoken utterance by the Holy Spirit directly to you regarding a scripture or situation. (Find a Prayer To Receive a Rhema Word From God HERE.)

Keith Moore says, “Faith doesn’t come by reading your Bible—unless you heard from Him while you were reading.”

The same is true when you listen to a minister teach the Word.

Romans 10:14 asks us to consider this: How can you believe if you haven’t heard? Keith Moore says, “You can’t, and you won’t. There is no believing without hearing and there is no faith without believing.”

The verse continues, “How shall they hear without a preacher?” It doesn’t say, “How will they hear without a Bible.” In other words, the anointing on the preaching of the Word will cause you to hear in a way that brings revelation to your spirit. That’s why preachers are necessary. God ordained it that way. It’s not the person, it’s the anointing that causes you to see and hear.

But even then, faith doesn’t come by going to a meeting and hearing from preachers—unless while you were listening, you heard from God, which brings us to our next reason why your confessions are not working.

Watch Keith Moore teach at the 2021 Southwest Believers’ Convention about making bold and accurate confessions.

2. You Didn’t Hear From God First

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” –John 15:7 (NKJV)

A good number of Spirit-filled believers have gotten into the habit of using certain terms very loosely. Terms like, “I’m believing.”

I’m believing God for this, and I’m believing God for that. It sounds very spiritual and faith-filled. But the question is…

Based on what?

The Bible is a big book filled with hundreds of promises for every situation. So how do you know what to stand on?

Just picking a set of scriptures out of the Word to stand on without hearing from God first is a recipe for confessions that don’t work. Faith doesn’t come from going through your concordance and finding verses about something unless He quickened one of them to you. When you stand on and confess a verse over your situation, it should be an anointed rhema to you.

Now, you can ask God for something that isn’t specified in His Word, but you cannot confess something into being just because you want it.

If you become more selective, you’ll become more effective.

Of speaking only what you hear from God, Keith Moore says, “Hearing from Him all the time and His living words living in you is what is supposed to motivate what you say. If you’ll say what He says, He’ll do what you say. He’s not obligated to back every idea you come up with. He is not obligated to fund every project you come up with or every venture you launch into. He’s Lord—not you.”

That can be tough to hear, but this is how we can begin to see our confessions come to pass every time!

3. You Aren’t Obeying What He Said

“Why are you violating the command of the LORD, when doing so will not succeed?” –Numbers 14:41 (NASB)

Just as we saw in the situation where the woman was mugged after she had neglected to obey God’s instruction not to go to a certain place, confessions won’t work when you aren’t obeying what He said to you.

A confession is only part of the equation, and while words are critical to your receiving, if they are preceded or followed by error in other areas, they will be ineffective.

Think about the Israelites.

There’s a reason God told us to remember what they did and warned us not to duplicate their mistakes. God said, “Don’t save the manna.” They saved it. God said, “Don’t gather on the seventh day.” They went out and tried to gather. This is why God called them stubborn and stiff-necked.

Maybe that’s where you’ve been—ignoring the small promptings and corrections. The problem is, when you do that with smaller things, when it comes to the bigger ones, you’re likely to do the same thing.

That’s what Israel did.

God told them to go up and possess the land for He had given it to them. They said, “No, we’re not going up.”

So, in Numbers 14:25, God tells them to go into the wilderness. And what do they say?

You guessed it. In verse 40, they said, “We will go up to the place which the LORD has promised” (NKJV).

Can they have faith to go into the Promised Land now? They repented, right? They’re making a good confession, right?

No. Because God’s last instruction to them was to go into the wilderness.

They could confess all day long, “I can do all things through Christ and all things are possible to him that believes,” but they’re out of alignment with His Word. It sounds like faith, but it isn’t. It’s blatant rebellion.

That’s where we can get into trouble, too. Quoting scriptures while ignoring what the Lord told you to do, deciding to use your faith to do something else, expecting God to back it, and then getting mad when He doesn’t, is not faith.

If you aren’t obeying what He has said to you, your confessions will come up short.

Next time you need to stand in faith for something, consider these three reasons why your confessions aren’t working, and determine to take the right course. If you do it right, it works every time. But if you’ve been at a 50/50 rate in your confessions, it’s time to make some changes. Don’t just throw out confessions and see if they stick. Become stronger in your faith and bump your success rate up to 100!

Find out if your confessions are based on faith or presumption as Keith Moore continues his teaching.

How To Respond to a Betrayal

How to Respond to a Betrayal

You were passed over for a promotion by an employer who promised it. A friend shared private information about you with others. A spouse was unfaithful.

A betrayal is the violation of a person’s trust or confidence. And it stings—to say the least. Jesus knew a thing or two about betrayals, and so did David, Samson and Joseph. (For a more detailed look, see Responses to 3 Bible Betrayals ) Your name, like most others, is likely on the list of those who’ve known betrayal, too.

But here’s something most Christians don’t know. Betrayal is a test. And it’s one that often comes just before a promotion, as we see in so many examples throughout the Bible. It is not the betrayal itself, as God does not cause betrayals, but how we respond to them that becomes a stepping stone to greater victories in your life.

If you’ve suffered a betrayal recently, or want to be prepared should one come, here is how to respond to a betrayal in a way that will expedite you to victory.

1. Resist the Devil

“The devil prowls around…looking for someone to devour.”—1 Peter 5:8, NIV

What makes a betrayal so painful is that it is almost always unexpected. But not to the devil. He knew it was coming and most likely orchestrated it behind the scenes, taking someone else captive to do his will (see 2 Timothy 2:26).

Now, he’s lying in wait for your reaction, hoping to get you to turn your sights away from him and onto the offending party. He’s waiting for that one moment when you step off the line of obedience to God’s Word, so he can move in. He’s waiting for you to take revenge, speak wrong words, and give up on a dream God put in your heart.

That’s why it’s so critical that in the midst of the pain and disappointment—which quite often runs deeper than you knew it could—you have to resist the devil. Resist the temptation to lash out, resist the desire to defend yourself or demand that the other person admit their fault. Resist, resist and then…resist some more.

Remember, you’re not the only person (not even by a longshot) who has gone through a betrayal. For Judas to walk with Jesus side by side for three years and then betray Him—the Son of God—is incomprehensible. For Joseph’s own brothers to not only consider murdering him, but then selling him into slavery is beyond all decency.

They, too, felt the sting. And they, too, had an opportunity to resist the devil, and instead chose promotion and ultimately, victory.

2. Get Rid of All Bitterness

“Get rid of all bitterness…”—Ephesians 4:31, NIV

The secular world of psychology has identified what they believe to be the five stages of grief. A betrayal is a loss—often a deep one—and can involve a period of grieving. The five stages include shock or denial, anger, depression, bargaining, and acceptance. You have likely felt one or more of these emotions after a betrayal. Feeling sad, disappointed or even angry after a betrayal is normal.

Just like the grief of losing a loved one, we have to guard against prolonged grieving because grief and sorrow are dangerous. That’s why Jesus bore our griefs and carried our sorrows on the cross (see Isaiah 53:4). The words griefs and sorrows in Isaiah can also be translated sicknessweakness and pain. But any way you translate them, they’re all pieces of the same destructive puzzle.

You don’t have to put up with them any more than you have to put up with sin, sickness or disease. So if you’ll follow the instructions in James 4:7 and resist them, they’ll have to flee from you!

As you work through your feelings, acknowledge that you’re hurt, but get rid of all  bitterness, which is a poison to the mind and body, and a robber of victories. When you give yourself the “luxury” of rehearsing what was said or done over and over—and then becoming hurt and angry again and again—you’re setting yourself up for failure.

Instead, obey God. Get rid of all bitterness by forgiving your betrayer. When you do, you go free. Bitterness is the root of most diseases and mental health issues. It is a thief. But love is a great protector in our lives.

Staying mad will never bring justice. God is your avenger. He is a God of justice. You may not see it when or how you like, but recompense will come.

Learn the importance of being quick to forgive as Jeremy Pearsons teaches you from the Word.

3. Love Your Betrayer

“Love your enemies.”—Matthew 5:44, NIV

What??

Before you sigh, with exasperation, hear us out.

Make no mistake. You don’t have to like your betrayer. You don’t have to ever trust your betrayer again. But God says you do need to love your betrayer. Not warm, squishy-hug love, but the decision of love.

How do you love a betrayer?

You forgive them. You pray for them. You refuse to seek revenge. You even look for an opportunity to do good to them. Just as important, but no less challenging, you don’t talk poorly about them.

Sound like a tall order? It is. But God would never ask you to do something if it weren’t for your own blessing and victory.

(Get more tips about handling your enemies biblically HERE)

4. Don’t Let It Define You

You are God’s child. You are chosen. You are accepted. You are justified. —see John 1:12, 15:15, Romans 5:1

Many betrayals come in the form of rejection. Rejection in the workplace, rejection by a spouse, rejection of value through a violation of trust by someone close to you.

A spirit of rejection is of the devil, plain and simple. And it doesn’t belong to you. So when you are working to respond to a betrayal God’s way, you have to come to a place where you don’t let it define you.

You are God’s workmanship. You are His child. You are precious in His sight, and He has great plans for you. No poor decision by another can change that—but you have to fight the temptation to let it do so.

At the same time, as much as you may not want to, a betrayal is a good time to look within too. Even if the other party was 98% in the wrong, was there anything you could have done differently in this situation? Perhaps, you neglected to heed a warning from the Lord. Or you made some decisions that put you in a place of vulnerability to attack. Taking personal responsibility for your part in something—no matter how small—is a HUGE step toward healing and victory.

Even if there were areas where you missed the mark, the betrayal doesn’t define you, so don’t wear what happened like a garment. You are who God says you are, and your value is found in Him alone—not in what others have said and done to you.

5. Let God Heal You

“He heals the brokenhearted.”—Psalm 147:3, NIV

Responding to a betrayal is a process, and the most important part of that process is deciding to let God heal you. Healing comes from God alone, not the other party’s apology, not a change in circumstances—neither of which may ever come.

Do you really have to let God heal you? Won’t He do it automatically?

Some people don’t want to heal. They feel that it is their right to hold onto hurt and hold a grudge against the offending party. What they don’t realize is how much they are hurting themselves and those around them. It will affect your health, your relationships and will hold back your victories in every area of your life.

Forgive and go free. Let God heal you. Invite Him to come into the tender places of your heart and make them new. He can make your heart and soul as if the betrayal never even happened. In fact, He can take your situation and use it to make you better than ever!

We hope these five ways to respond to a betrayal have been helpful to you. We pray you would never have to experience a betrayal, but we also want you to be equipped to come out on the other side of any circumstance victorious, as God intended. No matter what it feels like right now, know this—you CAN come out on the other side of this stronger, happier and more victorious than you ever imagined. Have faith in God!

Will God Really Protect Me? 8 Promises of Protection You Can Count On

Will God Really Protect Me

2020 was a year of fear. At least that’s what the devil attempted to make it.

But God NEVER intended for you to live that way. He has promised you protection again and again, and for every situation.

God is not someone who is hard to get hold of when you are in trouble. He is not someone who can’t hear you call out His Name when you have a need. In fact, He is waiting for those who will take His promises seriously, so He can rush to the aid of those who call on Him.

So don’t ever feel that you are alone and forgotten. The Lord knows right where you are. Trust Him, turn to Him, give Him an opportunity to prove His love for you in time of trouble—He’ll shake heaven and hell to deliver you, and bring you to a place of safety.

If you’ve been asking yourself, Will God really protect me? then it’s time to focus on the truth and not the lies. It’s time to grab hold of these 8 promises of protection you can count on today and every day—no matter how bad circumstances may seem.

Promise #1: You Have Protection From Harm

Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”—Psalm 91:3-4, New International Version

Your well-being is God’s No. 1 concern. Did you know that?

It’s true. He didn’t just place you here on earth and hope for the best. No! He set you up big time with some serious resources and protections—fortresses, hiding places, authority, angels and most importantly—His backing. Wow. Makes you wonder why you ever feared anything at all, doesn’t it?

Even so, when troubles come, we sometimes need reminders of His goodness, mercy, love and power. That’s what we’re here for—to help you get back into that place where you feel secure, safe and protected in Him, so you can live happy and carefree.

Is that really possible? you might ask. Yep. And it’s also a requirement if we’re going to be real about it. Being carefree is being stress-free and fear-free. And fear-free is the only way to live by faith, which is the only way to please God. The best part? He’s right here ready and willing to fulfill His promises of protection for you.

Watch Jerry Savelle share some powerful testimonies of God’s angels at work to protect us!

Promise #2: You Will Live Long

“With long life I will satisfy him…”—Psalm 91:16, New King James Version

Those who live in His shelter (who put their full faith in Him and fellowship with Him) are promised long life. That’s a pretty big promise. People of the world expect to go at any time—in an accident or from an illness. Here’s why we need to be different.

There are two groups of people on the earth—the people of God and the people who still live in the devil’s kingdom of darkness. One can live in security and the other in constant peril. The difference is that one group has a covenant with God, and the other doesn’t.

If God has promised you long life (when you live in obedience to His Word), why would you ever fear an illness, car accident, poverty or anything else?

Long life is a promise to you, but just like anything else God has promised, you have to stand for it in faith.

Promise #3: He Will Respond to His Name

“The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.” –Proverbs 18:10

The Name of Jesus is so vast in its power that it triumphs over any problem, any trial and any situation. Demons flee from it, disease cannot remain in the face of it, lack and fear dissipate before it, and every darkness is instantly shattered by it. Even death itself cannot contend with it.

The power and authority of the Name of Jesus rightfully belongs to you as a born-again Christian, and He expects you to use it! (Mark 16:15, 17-18)

Smith Wigglesworth once said, “There is power to overcome everything in the world through the Name of Jesus.” That means you can put the Name of Jesus to work in every area of your life—big or small—and it will work. That’s a promise.

Find Four Times When You Should Use the Name of Jesus HERE.

Promise #4: He Will Give You Victory

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph.”—2 Corinthians 2:14

We are promised the victory every time. Now, take note, we are not promised a trouble-free life, but we are promised to come out on top every time. Sometimes it isn’t in the timing we want or in the way we’d like, but it always happens God’s way, which is always the best way!

Just like every other promise, we have to be walking in obedience to His Word—loving others, forgiving, staying out of strife, staying out of fear and in faith, and obeying all His commandments. When we do, we’re promised the victory ALWAYS.

That’s why Proverbs 24:16 says, “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked” (New Living Translation). You don’t have to fear anything, because no matter what comes your way, you have a promise that you’ll come out on top.

Promise #5: He Will Guide You Safely

“Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.”—Proverbs 4:6, NIV

Time after time, people get delivered out of seemingly impossible situations with one word from God. God’s wisdom does make a difference, and He isn’t keeping it hidden from us (see Proverbs 1:20).

Wisdom will give us answers about how to stay protected and how to obtain provision. Moreover, the wisdom of God will warn us of anything that will lead to danger.

How do we get the wisdom of God that will guide us safely through any situation? By spending time in His Word. God’s wisdom and guidance by His Word and His Spirit have been given to help us avoid the calamity and destruction that wait to come upon us like a whirlwind (see Proverbs 1:25-27).

So make a lifestyle of thinking daily about the leading of God. The devil isn’t smart enough or subtle enough to sneak up and bring calamity or death on the believer who has learned to walk in God’s Word and hear His voice.

Promise #6: Your Words Will Have Power

“The speech of the upright rescues them.”—Proverbs 12:6, NIV

As believers, we have security everywhere we go because God is looking after us. He is our shield, our fortress, our refuge. Absolute safety belongs to the one who says of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress.”

When you stay in God’s Word consistently, His words will become the first things that come to your mind in any situation, so you can speak them out in faith. His promises will rise up within you in times of trouble and be the shield, fortress or refuge you need.

Your words have power to bind demons, loose protection, stop calamity, heal the sick, halt evil in its tracks and so much more. Learn to use the authority you’ve been given by speaking words of life over yourself every day. Plead the blood of Jesus, declare Scripture over your life and your family. God promises that your words will bring results—one way or the other. So choose wisely!

Promise #7: You Will Sleep Peacefully

“When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.”—Proverbs 3:24, NIV

God has even provided protection for your sleep. And aren’t we so grateful?

Sleep is restorative to our bodies and minds, which is why the devil so often tries to steal it from us. When we’re tired, we struggle more spiritually and aren’t operating at 100%.

You don’t have to tolerate disrupted sleep for ANY reason. You have a promise of sweet sleep from God Himself.

Promise #8: He Will Always Give You a Way Out

“God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear…he will also provide a way out.”—1 Corinthians 10:13, NIV

God has promised to always give you a way out of any temptation, so even when you put yourself in harm’s way, He has promised to help you! That is the goodness of God in full force.

He also has promised us a way out—or a way of escape—from trials and life-threatening situations (see Psalm 91). Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”[HM2]  That doesn’t just apply to salvation. There are so many testimonies of people who were in life-threatening, impossible-to-escape-from situations who ended up completely unharmed and have no explanation for how they ended up safe—except one: They called on the Name of the Lord.

Firefighters trapped in a burning home with no way out called on the Name of the Lord and suddenly were outside the home. Christians in an inflamed airplane with no way out called on the Name of the Lord and were suddenly outside on the wing, unharmed and safe. There are testimonies of people holding a gun to believers and those people refusing to fear, standing in faith, were delivered supernaturally.

For more, check out these powerful testimonies of God’s protection through the ministry of angels HERE.

You are promised protection—every day in every way. You are not the part-time focus of God’s attention. You are His delight and the full-time object of His affection. From beginning to end, He tells you in His Word how much He loves you by demonstrating how protective He is of His people. Will God really protect you? We hope by now you’ll answer with a resounding, “Yes!”

How To Live Above Only and Not Beneath

How To Live Above Not Beneath

Always at the top.

Does that describe you? Does it describe your health, your money, your job, your relationships?

It should. Deuteronomy 28 says God’s people should expect to be at the top. Not sometimes—ALWAYS. Yet, far too many Christians have accepted less. They may believe in seeing a victory now and then, but being at the top in everything, always?

There’s a purpose for God wanting us to always be on top—to be above only and not beneath. For one, Jesus paid a high price to break the curse and give us an easy yoke and a light burden. When you were born again, you were appointed to be the lender and not the borrower, the head and not the tail, to be on top and never at the bottom. To be well and not sick, prosperous and not in lack. The Name that is above every name has delivered you and set you above and not beneath.

And second, He wants you living above only and not beneath because it is a witness to the world around you that the people of God are blessed. It’s the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom—Glory to God!

If you aren’t on top in every area of your life, it’s time to get there. Here’s how you can begin to live above only and not beneath.

1. Look Up, Not Out

“Set your mind on things above…” –Colossians 3:2, NKJV

It’s easy to do.
Financial demands, physical symptoms or disappointments are right there in front of you. Focusing on them and allowing them to be your reality is the natural thing to do. But we aren’t called to be “natural.” We’re called to look up, not out. We are called to set our minds on things above.

How can we do that?

By remembering that while our natural circumstances shout the loudest, they aren’t in the majority. They’re far outnumbered by the new reality that became ours when we became His.

Jesus said we’re to be in the world but not of it. That doesn’t just mean that we are to separate ourselves and behave differently, it also means we are to see things differently—victoriously. It means we are to live above only—always—and not beneath—ever.

That means when it looks like we’re moving to a beneath position in our finances, we look up and remember what God has said about our money. He says we’re blessed, called to live in abundance, never to lack. He says we’re the head of our finances, not the tail. (See confessions based on scripture for victory in finances HERE).

It means when symptoms of any illness try to come on us, we immediately look up and remember what God says (see healing scriptures HERE). And we say, “Nope. Not today, satan. Not ever! You’re not putting that on me. I’m healed by the blood of Jesus!”

2. See Yourself as the Head, Not the Tail

“The Lord will make you the head, and not the tail...”—Deuteronomy 28:13, NIV

It’s hard to live above only and not beneath if you don’t see yourself that way. A spirit of rejection, inferiority or low self-esteem are all enemies of living at the top as God intended. When we let our past experiences or what others have said about us impact how we see ourselves, we cancel out how God wants us to view ourselves.

If you come from a long line of people who deal with health issues, you’re going to have to reprogram your thinking to see yourself as strong, healthy and above disease only, not beneath it. If you come from a family that has struggled with poverty, you need to get a new vision of abundance and wealth on the inside of you. If you come from a family who has been plagued by divorce, you’ve got to renew your mind to success in your marriage and expect to be married forever. The same is true for any other area where you are in the habit of seeing yourself on the short end of things, rather than standing on top of a mountain as more than a conqueror.

Your lineage here on earth does not define you. When you were born again, Jesus overrode every programming of the curse in your life.

It’s time to start seeing yourself as the head and not the tail—when it comes to money, health, relationships, your job, your ministry, your business and everywhere in-between.

3. Keep the Commandments

“If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.”—Deuteronomy 28:13, NIV

Did you read the last part of that verse? ALWAYS at the top. NEVER at the bottom.

At the beginning of Deuteronomy 28, we are given a list of Blessings that come upon those who fully obey God and follow all of His commands. And that list is long. THE BLESSING covers everything you could ever need or want. It is a bought-and-paid-for benefit of being a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s a free gift, but just like salvation, we have a part to play.

To live above only and not beneath—at the top and never at the bottom—we must live according to the Word of God. That means, if you’re lying, cheating, stealing or living in sexual immorality, you’re not going to be living at the top. Complaining, gossiping, refusing to forgive—not top-dwelling behavior.

Living above only and not beneath is God’s will for you—but it is conditional on your obedience. When Israel served God with her whole heart, there was no enemy that could stand before them. All of their needs were met, they were well in their bodies, and God did whatever it took to keep them above and not beneath. But when they began to grow slothful and became unfaithful, things changed.

If there is any area of disobedience in your life, get it right. Then fully expect to live above only and not beneath—ALWAYS.

4. Talk Like You’re Above Only, Not Beneath

“He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.” –Proverbs 13:3, NIV-84

If you’re living more like the tail than the head in any area of your life, it’s time to consider your words. When it comes to being in debt, what are you saying about your situation? Selah.

Even if you’re up to your eyeballs in debt right now, you can start turning your situation around with your words. Do as Abraham did, and call things that be not as though they were. Say, “I am debt free in Jesus’ Name! Glory to God! Thank You, Jesus that my cars are paid off and my house is mine—free and clear.”

Then, don’t say anything else. Don’t turn around and tell your husband how long it’s going to take to pay things off or how you feel like you’ll never get that credit card paid off. Talk like you’re above only, and not beneath. It’s a game changer!

Do the same thing with your job. Don’t go around saying, “Well, you know they never do promote people from within.” Or “They never do promote people from this department.” You’ve already positioned yourself beneath, when God said you never had to. People don’t get to place you above or beneath—God does.

Watch Gloria Copeland and George Pearsons teach you about God’s supernatural system of promotion.

We’re blessed coming in and blessed going out. Blessed in the city. Blessed in the field. And everything we set our hands to prospers. Every bill is paid. Every need is met. And every debt is canceled, in the Name of Jesus!

And you do the same with your health and your relationships. You get things in line with God’s way when you say what the Bible says. You keep saying, “I’m the head and not the tail. I’m above and not beneath. It is not God’s will for me to be the tail. It’s God’s will for me to be the head. It’s not God’s will for me to be under the thumb of the world and the world’s system. It is God’s will for me to be above, so I operate above.”

And what do you do when the devil comes? Gloria Copeland says this, “What do you do? You resist him.  You don’t give him a place to live. You resist him and tell him, ‘No you’re not getting that from me. I believe I’ve received it. It’s too late, devil, I’ve already received it.’ He’ll say, ‘Yes, but you don’t have it.  Where is it? You’ve been believing for so long.’ Don’t even pay any attention to him. Just say, ‘I’m having the last word here. I bind you from my thoughts. You’re not getting my thoughts. You’re not getting my words.’”

These are the ways you live above only and not beneath. God wants you at the top. Not in some things, in all things. Not some of the time, but all of the time. Don’t give up on the dream you have in God. He’s made a way for you to live like no one else. All you have to do is believe it.
